The Nexus One

I’m a rather big fan of the the Nexus One by HTC and Google.  My current phone, a Vodafone 810, is suffering a slow and painful death as buttons fall off and the battery struggles to last even a single day with minimum usage.

It’s been a while…

It’s been a while since my last post, 5 months actually, and my only excuse is that I’ve been busy. University is in full swing again and second year has proven even more demanding than first. It took up most of my time but now that first semester is over I have 2 less courses to worry about and a few hours more free time every week.

Most of my new-found free time will be spent working on coursework, not all of it though. I’m hoping to write about data structures, algorithms, databases and a few other things – I’ll be sticking very closely to the Computer Science course at Glasgow – hopefully they’ll be a good revision aid for me and an educational experience for you.

I’ve redesigned the website too, it’s quite minimalist, image free and hopefully an improvement over the old one. I changed it, again.

1st Year at the University of Glasgow

The University of Glasgow
I recently finished my first year at the University of Glasgow where I did Computer Science, Maths and Physics. I enjoyed it immensely and I cannot wait to go back in just over 3 weeks time (although I’ve still not decided exactly what courses I’ll be taking) when I’ll be doing Computer Science, Electric Engineering, C Programming under Linux and Exploring the Cosmos 1X.

This is an account of my thoughts about 1st year and will hopefully prove useful to anyone starting university soon.

Welcome to my new Blog!

I’ve been mulling over the idea of a blog covering Computer Science, the University of Glasgow and anything else I happen to find interesting for a while now.

As you can see, I decided to go ahead with it.

I’ll be posting about Project Euler when I find time and hope to write about my first year at the University of Glasgow (hint: I loved it) sometime soon.

I hope to be able to showcase some of my web design work here too. I’m always looking to earn a bit of extra money doing web design or programming work so if you think you have something to offer then please get in touch.
