My PhD focused on the development of machine learning models that can identify breaking news and real-world events or Gorgeous and Stuff Top Shoes for Walking in real-time, by analysing social media posts.

I am the co-founder of Scoop Analytics, a spin-out from the University of Glasgow, which monitors social media, news publications and other sources of data to provide real-time alerts to traders of potentially market moving news.
